It started with a kiss (2005, Taiwanese drama)
I came across this Taiwanese drama, flipping channels on a Sunday morning. The first impression: the male and female actors are not good-looking enough to take the leading roles. But their acting was so excellent that soon they even look cute. The story is really funny and eye-catching. This may be the drama Vivy told me when we were in the US.
Xiang Qin in Class F has a huge crush on Zhi Shu in Class A as soon as she sees him in the orientation ceremony in high school. Zhi Shu is a genius with IQ 200. He picks on her and tries to make her stay away from him. Meanwhile, Xiang Qin's house collapses during an earthquake and she moves into Zhi Shu's house since her dad and Zhi Shu's dad are high school friends. Living together under the same roof, they go through various incidents and get closer due to Xiang Qin's clumsiness and Zhi Shu's mom's aid.
Everything is like dreams for Xiang Qin from having breakfast at the same table to going off to school following him and to having him standing behind her on the bus.
Zhi Shu looks unkind and impolite to Xiang Qin in public, but he helps her get good grades, cooks for her, and rushes to fetch her present for him. He even secretly kisses her when she falls asleep while taking care of his little brother. He just doesn't realize that he likes her. Zhi Shu thinks she's always there, but Zhi Shu eventually realizes that he really likes her only when he is about to lose her. Xiang Qin is the one who completes Zhi Shu. He couldn't understand people who put a lot of efforts in things he can easily obtain. He was able to understand ordinary people's feelings and endeavor through her. Zhi Shu smiles and gets upset just like an ordinary person only when he's with her. Xiang Qin has changed him.
Xiang Qin completes Zhi Shu though he's smart and she's silly.

The following scenes are the best, I think. They look beautiful. Even cotton candy looks different.
Blind Young owns a big company and has nobody to trust in her house. Her parents passed away and she lost contact with her brother. Her guardian/father's secretary, who seemingly made her parents got a divorce, wants her to get married to an ambitious man in her company.
One day, her brother Soo comes back home, but people doubt his identity. After a while, she opens her mind to him, but he's not her brother. He is her brother's acquaintance and coincidentally has the same name. At first, he tries to trick her to get money to save his life from gang. Pretending to act like her brother, he sneaks into her secret room and watches some videotapes in which little Young cries, calling mom and brother. He begins to be sympathetic with her and eventually loves her. As he loves her, his life is at risk, not accomplishing the goal he initially set.
